Cryptid Creatures

Cryptozoology is the study of mysterious animals that may or may not be real. Creatures like Bigfoot, the Loch Ness Monster, Mothman and Chupacabra are the stuff of legends, around the world. But is there evidence beyond the stories? Could some of these creatures be real?  After more than 15 years of research, author Kelly Milner Halls has some of the answers.  Join her on this adventure in critical thinking.

According to a 2017 survey, more than half of all American citizens believe UFOs are real.  Are you among the believers, or are you a rock solid skeptic?  Author Kelly Milner Halls is a little of both, and she's ready to share some of the evidence she's unearthed just in time for Halloween!

Saving the Baghdad Zoo

When the United States launched a war in Iraq in 2004, our troops had more than fighting to do. Special projects officer William "Wes" Sumner was assigned the recovery of rare archaeological artifacts. But when he'd finished, he tackled a war torn zoo. Author Kelly Milner Halls will explain how this brave soldier helped recover the lost animals of Baghdad and built a bridge between two cultures in the process.

In Search of Sasquatch

Most people call him Bigfoot, but the stories of a giant, hair covered animal wandering the depths of the wilderness on two, strong legs are known worldwide. The names vary with regional cultures, but the evidence is strikingly similar, where ever you go.  Could this legendary mystery be real?  After 15 years of research, author Kelly Milner Halls thinks the answer COULD be yes. She'll share the evidence with you.

Mysteries of the Mummy Kids

Mention mummies and the golden realm of ancient Egypt leaps to mind.  But did you know there are mummies preserved all over the world and many of them were mummified before they were 18?  We'll explore these kid mummies--how they died and how they lived--in this fascinating program.
