Lee Elementary School -- Family Author Night -- March 25, 2013

On March 25, I visited Lee Elementary in East Wenatchee, WA. After a day of presentations, I attended the family night. These were a few of the parent responses to our time together.
Thank you, Lee Elementary! The feeling is mutual.

1. What did you like about this event?
The author’s interaction with the children.
The easy-going format.
Students were very excited about the interesting non-fiction topics.
Author’s personal interest was contagious!
She was super personable and approachable. What a great inspiration for my kids!
It was nice to have a family night to meet her after hearing my kids’ reports on their experiences today.
Dynamic author.
2. Do you have any suggestions for changes or improvements for next year?
Love to have an author again next year.
Maybe Monday isn’t the best day because people forget after the weekend?
3. Other comments
Great experience for students – thank you!
Thanks for doing author visits. I will never forget when one came to my elementary school.
I heard that she [Kelly] did her visits during the day by grade level and I think that is a very personable way to do it and probably made it very applicable to each age group instead of doing like just 2 sessions.
Thank you, Lee Elementary! The feeling is mutual.
