Looking for KMH school visit enrichments?
Look no further! I'd love to take credit for these, but I cannot. My illustrator friend Rick C. Spears created many of these extras. My publishers and educators across the United States created others. The goal is to make it easier for you to get kids excited about the school visits. If you don't find what you want, or you have other ideas you can share, send them my way. I'll post them, too.
If you want ANY of these files in high resolution jpgs, email me at kellymilnerh@aol.com and I'll send them to you.

The Literacy Connection created these great bookmarks to hand out to kids while I'm in central Washington at their invitation (19 elementary schools). Aren't they wonderful? They fit four to a standard page. They sent them to me blank, I signed them and mailed them back so they could produce "autographs" for each student. Thank you so much Jane and Carol!

Explorer's Journal
In February 2012 Carol Berry at the Literacy Connection will host me at 19 elementary schools. One of those school's librarians, Camille Renteria asked me to create a special enrichment, so Rick Spears and I came up with this Explorer's Journal to encourage kids to do research of their own.
In Search of Sasquatch Enrichments
The book is new so the enrichments are limited, so far. But watch for more as the year progresses.

Dinosaur Parade Enrichments
Dinosaur Parade is a book for younger readers -- 4 to 7. So Rick Spears, the illustrator who brought the book to life, created these dinosaur color sheets, from the book and these dinosaur masks to color.
Notice, the masks are side view masks. The purpose is to prevent little kid pile ups when they use the masks for their very own dinosaur parades. If the masks are held beside their faces, keeping the vision clear ahead of them, they're less likely to run into the small person in front of them. Plus the pictures are adorable.
If you want the high resolution files, drop me an email.
Tales of the Cryptids enrichments
Rick illustrated Tales of the Cryptids, too, so he was kind enough to create all these great enrichments for school visits, too. There is a mask, a word search and an award certificate from him.
But teachers have really been amazing about creating their own activities so I'll share those here, too.

Both of these wonderful TALES OF THE CRYPTIDS enrichments came from exceptional librarians in Camas, WA near Portland, OR. The kids created their own cryptids -- drew and wrote about them after studying those featured in the book. There are two photos below to illustrate what they did. The other four are similar projects the teachers did with a similar theme.

I Bought a Baby Chicken
Unfortunately, this wonderful picture book is out of print. But I'm working on correcting that and you may have it in your library. So I'm sharing these terrific enrichments with you for your younger students.
I didn't create them. A wonderful librarian in Washington did. But I love them and share them with her permission.
COMING SOON.
